Rebels Embark on New Campaign

The Campbellford Rebels have put the finishing touches on their opening night roster ahead of the 2021-2022 season. After three straight dismal years the Rebels have accelerated their rebuild and look to contend this season in the Tod division. Mainstays Benny Scarr, Andrew Moran and captain Ben Krauja will be counted on to lead on and off the ice this season, but unlike recent years the supporting cast is one of the best in recent memory. Eric Martin and Cam Hansen will tackle the goaltending duties this season giving the Rebels stable goaltending that will keep them in games. On the back end veterans Dennis Fisher, Cullen Pollock and Moran will help compliment the new crop of rookies joining the Rebels this year in Rhett Cleverdon, Jesse Marcov, and Zach Lavergne. Up front the Rebels have one of the strongest forward groups in the PJHL, led be Ethan Salter, Jake Newman, Krauja, and Scarr, the drop off to the rookies isn’t a steep one. Josh Sainthill, Adam Klaas, Greg Sheedy, Connor MacGregor, Oronhyathe Green, Jett Butler, Aiden Treverton, Charles-Antoine Boucher, Brock Kelsh, Colby Turcott, and Dryden Minifie will be vital parts to the offence and through the preseason have shown they can handle it. The Rebels open up their first season in two years on Saturday October 2nd in Port Hope.
