Rebels Roll in Game 1

For the first time since 2011-2012 the Campbellford Rebels are 1-0 on the season, following a 6-3 win over the Port Hope Panthers on October 2nd. Ethan Salter helped pace the offence notching 2 goals and adding 1 helper, Benny Scarr had a beauty goal and 2 assists, captain Ben Krauja potted 2 goals in the first period, and Connor MacGregor scored his first career junior goal and added an assist. Other players picking up assists in the game were Andrew Moran and Dryden Minifie. Eric Martin made a number of highlight reel saves to pick up his first win as a Rebel over his former team. The win was also the first for the Rebels coaching staff led by Head Coach PJ Michael. Next action for the Rebels will come on Thursday October 7th when they will try to spoil the Picton Pirates home opener.
